We are dedicated to fostering a deeper understanding of the region’s cultural and historical significance while ensuring the enduring preservation of our shared stories.

The Mission of Purdue University Northwest Archives and Special Collections is to identify, collect, preserve, and make materials of value that document the history, culture, scholarship, advancements, people, and achievements of the university’s faculty, staff, and students accessible to researchers.

A special collection is a part of a library that holds unique or rare materials, such as old books, personal letters, or artifacts. These items are often one-of-a-kind and need special care to make sure they last for future generations.
